Good Times, Trying Times, Bad Times

As I concentrate on one problem, another emerges. I can only liken it to the phrase "Finger in the dam hole," which refers to taking a minor, temporary measure to avert a much bigger issue. It's like "putting your finger in the dike" to halt a flood. In my situation, new holes keep appearing, and I'm starting to feel like I don't have enough fingers or reach to cover them all.

Well Being
Horseplay with sibling, carrying her favorite ball in her mouth, participating in "hide and go seek", tag wagging. All signs of success and hope.

Arthritis Management
Supplements, prescription drugs, dietary changes, physical therapy, laser therapy, heat therapy, medical devices/support are helpful but expensive to say the least.

Special Needs Grooming
Some hacks that work for us include using an artificial grass mat in the shower, blow drying one side of the body at a time while in the side sleeping position, and getting professional nail trimming for safety and less traumatic reasons.

Onset of Illness
Signs of diabetes have recently emerged. Clear symptoms are starting to show.
At 14 years old, she has an increased appetite, is losing weight, and is excessively thirsty, needing to urinate almost every half hour. Last night, she wet her bed. My heart sank when I saw the worry in her eyes. She was afraid she would be in trouble. She hasn't had an accident in the house since she was a young pup. Time to call her Vet.
